UTMN professor Ekaterina Lobanova has developed a course for international students interested in studying the Russian language – “Theater in Russian”. Students of the American University of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan) became the first ones to take the course.
Russia is among the top six countries that are most attractive to foreign students. More than half of the global student mobility accounts for the United States, Britain, Australia, France, Germany and Russia.
The University of Tyumen has been implementing a system of individual education trajectories for two years. Since September 2017, first and second-year students of three UTMN institutes and the School of Advanced Studies (SAS) have been studying in accordance with a new educational model.

UTMN shows higher position in the 2018 RUR Reputation World University Rankings. Currently, it is 698th - 59 points higher than last year. In 2017, the University of Tyumen was first ranked by the agency as 717th.
