St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and TU Graz celebrate the five-year strategic partnership
In 2018 Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) and Graz University of Technology (Technische Universität Graz) celebrate the fifth anniversary of the strategic partnership. On May, 18th the events devoted to this celebration were held in TU Graz. The delegation from the Polytechnic University, headed by the Rector of SPbPU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Andrey I. Rudskoy, took part in these events.
The Graz University of Technology was the first Austrian university to sign a contract with a Soviet higher educational institution - Polytechnic University, called the Kalinin Polytechnic Institute at that time in 1985.

On the same day, the sides discussed the results and further cooperation in the field of construction technologies, life science, cyber-physical systems and management, as well as projects to increase joint publishing activity within the framework of the round table "Review and Prospects for Strategic Partnership of SPbPU and TU Graz".
The rector of TU Graz Harald Kainz noted: "We can see that within many years really strong ties between the scientific groups of our universities were made. It is especially important that students are actively involved in the scientific activity. Student projects reflect a high level of ongoing collaboration."
In addition, in order to develop academic mobility between the universities, Rector of the SPbPU, Andrey I. Rudskoy provided five best students of TU Graz with personal scholarships for participation in the International Polytechnic Summer School-2018.
"We have a lot of projects and ideas, and we will actively bring them to life.
"International cooperation, especially with such strategic partner, gives us an opportunity to expand and transmit the latest achievements not only of our researchers but also of the world science.
